MY FALL BUCKET LIST!

Fall is here! The leaves everywhere are beginning to turn, fall, and crunch beneath our boots.

In order to make the most of this quickly ending season, I created a fall bucket list filled with all of the wonderful things I want to do and experience this season with my family.

Eat Birthday Cake should be on the list somewhere too πŸ™‚

β˜† Go On a Hayride

Not-so-spooky hayrides with hot chocolate, followed by pumpkin picking are right up my alley for a fall family day.

β˜† Fall Family Photos

I’m seriously making an effort to take more pictures, especially professional ones. Time just keeps flying by and I love having memories to cherish!

β˜† Go to a Fair or Theme Park

Because I have an October birthday, I have always been obsessed with halloween. For almost the last 27 years, I have forced my friends to dress up for costume parties, come to horror movies, and attend haunted houses. Man, I’m lucky they love me so much!

Coming up soon, we have Fright Night at Six Flags New England!

β˜† Bake Something Sweet

I’m thinking I’ll bake an apple pie after we go apple picking. Genius right?

β˜† Host a Halloween Party

We set a date for Emma’s class halloween costume party, now I’m just shopping around for some fun halloween themed games and snacks! Gummy worms, candy eyeballs, bloody-jelly finger treats…

β˜† Sit by a Fire

The smell of burning wood screams fall on so many levels. Bon fire, fireplace, or wood stove…light it up, crack open a soda and roast some marshmallows already!

β˜† Drink Apple Cider

Warm cider with a cinnamon stick. I can’t get enough of it lately!

β˜† Go Stargazing

The stars are always brighter this time of year, astronomy says it’s because the ground is actually tilted toward the sun.

My husband woke me up at the crack of dawn and we stood outside, wrapped in a blanket, eyes toward the sky. You’ll see all the shooting stars if you look South.

β˜† Fall Crafts

Crafts are fun at every age! I love pulling inspiration from holiday and seasonal themes. This week, we are making Frankenstein out of Calvin’s foot! I will share on my socials πŸ™‚

β˜† Read Spooky Stories

Books are in every room of my house. Its important to me to encourage a love of reading in both of my kids, because it was so prominant in my childhood.

This season is the perfect time to snuggle up under a blanket, (with a flashlight to make it extra fun!) reading spooky stories. My local library has a huge collection of halloween themed stories!

What is on your fall bucket list? What am I forgetting?!
